Robert W. Stoddard II, President and CEO
After 25 years of experience with industry giants such as Texas Instruments and Motorola, Mr. Stoddard incorporated Six Sigma IDS, LLC as a low-cost provider of a variety of Six Sigma methodologies taught and deployed with a relevant, domain-specific perspective. Mr. Stoddard's work experience at Motorola (1998-2005) included positions within both Motorola University as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff and Director of Quality within the 3G Cell Phone business. While at Motorola University, Mr. Stoddard was responsible for the worldwide-rollout of Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma training, including development of an elearning Green Belt program and a Black Belt Certification with exam. While at the 3G Cell Phone business, Mr. Stoddard mentored over 30 software Black Belt candidates. During Mr. Stoddard's tenure at Texas Instruments (1985-1998), he served as a site Software Quality Engineering Manager for the TI Defense Systems and Electronics Group. While at TI, Mr. Stoddard also served as a 2-year, Resident Affiliate to the Software Engineering Institute, a Federally-Funded research and development center (FFRDC), managed by Carnegie Mellon University.
Mr. Stoddard is a senior member of the IEEE Reliability Society and a Fellow of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and earned five ASQ Certifications: Quality Engineering, Software Quality Engineering, Reliability, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Auditing. Mr Stoddard holds a B.S. in Finance & Accounting from the University of Maine at Orono and an M.S. in Systems Management with the University of Southern California. Mr Stoddard accomplished doctoral work in Reliability Engineering with the University of Maryland at College Park and Engineering Management with Walden University. Mr. Stoddard became the first software engineer at Texas Instruments to become certified as a Motorola Six Sigma Black Belt in 1993. Mr. Stoddard next became a certified Motorola Six Sigma Master Black Belt in 2003 primarily based on precedent-setting introduction of software fault injection testing for the Motorola cell phone business.

Heather A. Sotomayor, Secretary and Treasurer
Ms. Sotomayor joined Six Sigma IDS, LLC as treasurer in September, 2006. Previously, Ms. Sotomayor accumulated 20 years experience in business management, customer service and manufacturing with notable corporations such as Texas Instruments, Panasonic, and Ericsson. Ms. Sotomayor demonstrated many Six Sigma transactional improvements within cycle time and throughput in diverse settings ranging from customer support and call centers to manufacturing and engineering new product development. Ms. Sotomayor has specialty experience in business finance, budgeting, and financial forecasting providing Six Sigma IDS, LLC with a solid basis for financial operations.
Six Sigma IDS, LLC continues to focus on late-breaking advancements in causal learning, including causal search using search algorithms and tooling from Carnegie Mellon University, and causal identification and estimation using methods developed by Dr. Judea Pearl (UCLA).
